About the Author

This entire website is designed, written, and maintained by me, Steve Silverman.  However, this site would not exist if it were not for the positive feedback that I have received via e-mail from thousands of people worldwide (thanks!).

I am a science teacher at Chatham High School, which is located near Albany, New York.  I currently teach Physics, Earth Science, and Computer Science. Most of the stories described on this web site are stories that I have either told in my classroom or sent as e-mail to my friends over the past several years.

I hope that my strange sense of humor does not offend any person out there in cyberspace. I have found each of the stories presented to be favorites among the people that have heard them. I will be posting additional stories periodically, so check back from time to time.

For additional details on my life check out:

All About Steve Silverman-  I have been adding a sentence or two here and there to this section for many years, so this is probably more than you ever wanted to know about me.
My Family Photo Album - approximately twenty photos of me arranged chronologically from birth to the present day.
My Resume - the first web page that I ever created (updated many times since).
Newspaper Article from the Albany Times Union (July 12, 1998) on this website.
National Enquirer article on my book.
Site review from the Christian Science Monitor (September 23, 1998).
Inside Einstein's Refrigerator - Interview with Buck Wolf from ABC News Online. (August 9, 2001).
